Summary
Trapped in the suffocating confines of a decaying attic, “Below.” plunges players into a chilling psychological horror experience where every creak of the floorboards and flicker of the light hides untold dread.
As the protagonist, your only goal is to escape the labyrinthine house, but the path is riddled with intricate puzzles that test your wits and unravel the haunting history of the home. Shadowy figures stalk your every move, their presence felt in the corner of your eye and the shiver down your spine, leaving you uncertain of what is real and what is a product of your unraveling mind.
The lore of the house reveals itself in fragments—scratched notes, faded photographs and more—all pointing to a tragic past that ties you to this place. But beware; the deeper you delve into the mystery, the closer these enigmatic entities draw, their whispers growing louder as they inch ever nearer. Will you solve the puzzles and uncover the truth, or will the house claim you as its next victim?

As a game design student, my contribution starts from the very beginning of the project, by identifying what’s the most suitable project that will meet our teachers’ requirements.
- Research – desk research into the horror games market, competitive analysis and target audience
